Hans Baur's secret archive

Hans Baur was Hitler's personal pilot and a key figure in his inner circle. He also captured moments from the Führer's life through videos and photographs. Although he was not a professional filmmaker or photographer, Baur's close proximity to Hitler meant that he had access to many private moments and significant events during the Nazi regime. Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini met in Salzburg, Austria, for a strategic discussion about the progress of World War II. It took place from the 18th to the 19th of August, and it was a significant moment in the relationship between Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.
