Generals in Normandy

This footage was taken on the 7th of July 1944 at the 21st Army Group HQ during the Battle of the Normandy. “Operation Overlord” was a successful invasion of the Normandy, a region in France, which was occupied by the Germans at that time. Three of the most important generals of this battle have gathered here. George S. Patton, Omar Bradley and Bernard Montgomery. Omar Bradley, at this point in time, was a Lieutenant General, as indicated by the 3 stars on his uniform.
