The Historical Collection of the Field Artillery Corps, better known as the Netherlands Artillery Museum, provides a vivid picture of the history of the Artillery branch and, in particular, that of the Field Artillery Corps (KVA). By Royal Decree, the KVA has been designated to continue commemorating the founding date of the Corps of Artillery (the oldest corps of the Royal Netherlands Army, founded in 1677).

This is reflected in the exhibition, in which all forms of artillery are displayed. In addition to the history of the Field Artillery Corps itself, there are references to the corps and regiments of fortress, armored fort, and coastal artillery; the torpedo troops; the artillery of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL); horse-drawn artillery; motorized artillery; anti-tank artillery; and the Artillery Survey Services.

**The location**

The exhibition is housed in several pavilions. These are beautiful national monuments (dating from the late 19th century), located in a park in the English landscape style, on the 60-meter-high “Knobbel.” From here you have a magnificent view over the heathland landscape of the Northern Veluwe.

**You will experience**

- The development of artillery technology
- Examples of guns and ammunition through the centuries
- Artillery units and their operational deployment
- Artillery equipment, including fine uniforms
- Specific themes from the history of Dutch Artillery
- Impressive dioramas depicting historical situations

**Options**

- Guided tours for groups of approximately 1 to 2 hours: requests can be made via a reservation form that you can **[find on their website](https://www.nederlandsartilleriemuseum.nl/?page_id=165)**.
- Educational programs for school classes
- Children’s birthday parties (for children aged 8 and up)
