Hello, my name is Karen, and im trying to find some information about my Grandad who served in World War 2, Does any one know if it possible to view a list of men who were involved in D-Day? Or to find out any information relevant to my grandfathers journey through ww2.
Unfortunatley My Grandfather passed away and the war was not something he liked to speak about, how ever a few comments he has made has made my family believe he could have landed in Normandy. My grandfathers name is Fredrick Thomas Brien, date of birth 17th July 1920 from Dagenham Essex. Any help or advice would be gratefully apprieceated.
many thanks

Hi Karen,
If you know the unit that he served in, then you may be able to see his name (depends on what Rank he attained)in his unit's War Diary held at the National Archives in Kew. Also, try his Regimental museum. Also, try "Googling" his name... you never know what might turn up!Hope this helps,
Regards
