PFC Arthur Beckman

I am looking for information or anyone who might have known PFC Arthur Beckman, 26th Infantry Division. He was KIA December 8, 1944 in or around Sarreguemines.

Do you know where Pvt. Beckam came from? I ask because the 26th -"Yankee," Division is the home division most Bostonians who were drafted. That includes my father, who fought the entire ETO, and myself. I was drafted for Viet Nam. If you could tell me where Mr. Beckman lived when he went into the Army, I can most likely help you. I have dozens of folders, holding info on Divisions: 26; 1; 29; 9; 3; and the Regiments: 502 PIR; 222d IR; 242d IR. Knowing a soldier's hometown - research-wise makes it easier to start at the beginning of his military story.
